Randy Jones has been involved in buying cattle for various packing plants since 1972. He has worked for Armour, Packerland, the former Robel Beef plant in St. Cloud, MN, and Peck Foods, Milwaukee. Since 1978 he has been with Murco, Inc. as a cattle buyer. he also started buying cattle for Ember Foods in 1993, and selling to ember "on-the-rail", an opportunity that has increased his profits and given him a good information base for planning the type of cattle that would maximize profits for this new venture.
